Helping your daughter enter college with confidence and purpose
The transition to college can be exciting and also challenging. Adapting to a new environment takes some adjustment and also a great deal of growth. This workshop is designed to help ease this transition by empowering girls with knowledge, new skills and a time to connect with others who are also starting college.
During this retreat day, the topics are customized to the girls in attendance and may include any or all of the following:
- Cultivating a stronger sense of self and values to make healthy decisions
- Discussing how to thrive in college: from making new friends to academic habits to healthy communication
- Learning about building self-compassion, resilience, and stress management tools
- Discussing life skills (such as healthy habits, executive functioning, time management, and boundaries)
- Tapping into her passions and purpose to begin to help gain clarity on potential majors and career paths
- Asking questions to alleviate concerns about starting college during our open Q and A time
This retreat day will geared towards preparing your daughter for the upcoming transition to college, but it will also be a lot of fun. We will have interesting discussions, do an art project and take some time to destress and express before your daughter starts college.

About me:
I'm an Educational Therapist and Mentor for girls. I am a Bay Area native and know firsthand the pressures of growing up here and going away to college. I love helping girls step into their confidence and purpose. New beginnings like going to college can be so exciting and also terrifying so I created this workshop to help support girls during this time of life.
This Get Ready for College Retreat Day is one of my favorite things I offer because it's exactly what I wish I had when I was a high school senior. It's a culmination of what I've learned over the past 15 years. I was so excited to start college at UC Davis and simultaneously terrified. I was worried if I would do okay academically, I was worried how I would live with a roommate, and I was worried about how I'd pick a major among many other things. As I made my way through college, I definitely learned a lot of things the hard way. My hope is that I can offer some of what I've learned so other girls feel more prepared for this big transition and next life step.
