What parents have to say:
"My daughter just completed her first Girls Shine Bright Leadership Series with Nicole, and it was amazing. She eagerly awaited each and every meeting while simultaneously growing her confidence by using her voice to teach other kids and moms in the final event. Nicole has created a beautiful space for girls to do what they do best... shine!"
"I absolutely loved this program and was so impressed by Nicole and all the girls and their presentation and presence. Thanks so much for everything you do and for including us. I hope we can continue to come to many more programs in the future."
"The virtual retreat for parents was so fun! I loved watching each girl step into her leadership to ultimately share her gifts. From playing a guessing game, to Name the Tune, to learning to draw a Unicorn, the girls and moms were all engaged and in the flow from the moment it started to the very end. My daughter and I are both very much looking forward to the next event with Nicole!"
Girls loved the virtual retreat too. Here's what one girl had to say:
“Most of the time the moms are in charge of everything. It’s fun to boss them around too.”

“Can we do this again tomorrow?”
FAQ
Why are these programs online? Does online really work?
I used to offer circles in person but switched to Zoom when the pandemic started. I found that it works really well for small groups (not large groups). I have kept doing them online since then so they are more accessible to more girls. This is very different from what Zoom school was like during the pandemic because there are no more than 5 girls attending.
This looks great but we can’t do all the dates. Is it okay to miss one?
Yes! Missing one date is totally fine, just let me know. If your daughter needs to miss more than one meeting, it would be better to wait and attend another program.
My daughter is really shy. I wonder if this is too much for her. I don’t know if she would want to lead an activity. Can she still join?
Yes! I used to be incredibly shy when I was younger so I can understand how leading other girls and parents could sound really scary! Everything is an option and girls can say no to anything they don’t want to do. They can participate in the other girls’ leadership activities and not lead an activity if they wish. They could do that for the whole series or I can support them to do a little more each time if they want. They can meet with me one on one and we can come up with a plan that works for them. I am here to support your daughter where she is at.

Hi there!
I'm Nicole. As a mentor and educational therapist, I love to create supportive environments for kids and teens to thrive and be seen for who they are, just as they are. I grew up (and still live) in the San Francisco Bay Area and often felt stressed out and disconnected during my preteen and teen years. Once I graduated from college, I discovered a whole world of resources to help with stress and disconnection that I didn't learn about in school: women's circles, yoga classes and my favorite..... retreats! Through retreats and other trainings, I've studied leadership, vocal empowerment, movement, mindfulness and much more. I became a Qoya Movement teacher as well as a certified kids' yoga teacher. As I took all of these trainings, I kept thinking to myself, "How can girls get these resources and experiences earlier in life?" Girls Shine Bright is my creative solution to just that! I hope your daughter join us for this leadership series! - Nicole |
